In this animated film, Marianne Khayat addresses domestic violence through meticulous stop-motion animation. The film is based on the testimonies of victims Khayat met, drawing us into Jeanne’s daily life as she becomes trapped in a cycle of anger and abuse at the hands of her partner, Pierre. As their relationship deteriorates, Jeanne’s world transforms: light, colour and texture make the profound effects of psychological violence palpable, revealing a form of abuse that too often remains invisible.
